In 1998, ASD received a generous gift from Althea Monte, an ASD alumna of 1929. This gift provides scholarship funds to ASD students for post-secondary education. We encourage eligible seniors to apply.
One or two ASD seniors will receive up to $7,500 - $15,000 per year (total four years) for their college education. This scholarship will expire after four years.

In February 2019, the American School for the Deaf (ASD) learned about allegations made by school alumni of inappropriate conduct by former faculty members. Upon learning of these allegations, ASD immediately contacted the proper authorities and retained outside legal counsel to conduct an independent, objective and confidential investigation. ASD values your trust and deeply appreciate your significant contributions to the our community over the years, and I would like to share with you the results of the investigation here.
A V-log summarizing the findings of the investigation may also be foundhere.
